Spring 2016 Prayer Letter

Dear Praying Friends
,
It came slowly, but spring has sprung!  I am so grateful for what God has done so far in 2016. On the podcast we are closing in on 200th episode. It amazes me that we have been able to produce this quality little show for 3 ½ years now. I am truly grateful for Adam McNutt and the rest of the staff at WJQK for making me feel welcome and allowing me to use the studio. I am blessed!

I am in the home stretch of yet another school year with the Potter’s House Christian school. These years really fly by. It’s kind of surreal to literally be watching kids grow up before your eyes. I think over the last few years I’ve gotten just a little taste of what parents must go through watching their own children grow.

The other ministries I’m involved in such as preaching at Mel Trotter mission, preaching at the Kent County Jail, and preaching at Rest Haven Homes all keep me busy throughout the West Michigan area on a regular basis.

Forgotten Man Ministries the organization under which my group goes into the Kent County Jail is celebrating 50 years of teaching prisoners about freedom in Christ. They are doing great work and it is a privilege to assist them in doing God’s will. “…I was in prison, and ye came unto me…  Then Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” Matthew 25:36, 42

One thing I would like to mention at this point is I would really appreciate it if there was someone out there who would be interested in committing to be a regular pianist for me on the second Sunday of the month. The service at rest Haven consists of a half an hour to 45 minutes of singing hymns with the remainder of the time being a message which I preach. We often end up singing without music because we are shorthanded in this area. If you would be interested in assisting me please don’t hesitate to call or text me at the cell phone number provided at the bottom of this letter.

I am excited to report that I am starting to fill summer dates on my preaching calendar. I have three out of four Sundays filled in the month of June and I have four available Sundays in May. If you would like to discuss any of these dates or any other dates you might be interested in me filling for the summer please don’t hesitate to let me know. My full schedule and a contact form are available at www.speaking4him.com.

I am very grateful to everyone who has donated their time, energy, or finances to help make Speaking4him run smoothly. We have recently begun producing more video content and we would be grateful for your feedback. My goal as always is to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ and to encourage you in your walk with him.

My prayer for you is that you would “Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;” (Philippians 1:27)
