September 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Praying Friends,

It is hard to believe that the summer is drawing to a close. I hope that this letter finds you rejoicing in the faithfulness of God. I am getting excited about starting school again next week. I’m looking forward to an expanded role as a leader in middle school discipleship. I will also be continuing my duties as a substitute teacher. I am so grateful to be able to be a part of a Christian community such as the Potter’s House Christian school.

I continue to be grateful for the opportunities God has given me to preach his word. The opportunities at Mel Trotter ministries and Rest Haven Homes are still going strong. We are in the process of adding some new members to our Jail ministry team and I am very excited about that. Serving alongside like-minded brothers in Christ is a true blessing of life on this earth.

I would ask that you would pray for me as I am seeking more opportunities to speak and I’m also open to a ministry -related job that would complement my ministry well and allow me a more stable income. I am extremely grateful for God’s watch care over me but I am also mindful that wisdom is needed as I look to and plan for the future.

One area where I am hoping to get some opportunities is in speaking to Christian schools. I will be spending time in the next couple of weeks reaching out. Please pray that the right doors will open. I have been very thankful for the podcast ministry that God has given me and over the next several weeks we will be planning our Christmas shows. These are among my favorite to do because they are a major part of why Speaking4him exists. Please pray that God will direct us to the proper content.

As you may have seen, the podcast recently celebrated 150 episodes. Another exciting milestone for speaking4him is that this month we celebrate six years in ministry! Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed for and encouraged us over the years. I say we because this ministry is not about me but rather about him and also as a way to point out the fact that I have had many people working with me throughout this time.

Speaking of needed support, if there is anyone who would like to commit to regularly playing the piano on the second Sunday of each month when I do the service at Rest Haven please let me know. This is a great opportunity for service and fellowship and I would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to help me or if you would pray that God would lead me to a good person to fulfill this task on a regular basis.
As I close I just want to encourage you with the words of Paul “ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:58)

Keep Serving The Best of Masters,

Andrew Gommesen
